• Since I have a slightly elevated PSA, I have been researching prostate cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. This book has saved me a lot of research time.
  
  In addition to saving me time there are two things that I discovered in this book that made it well worth the price. First that caffeine and alcohol affect the PSA results. I had not considered these problems before this. Second, that there are several non-invasive tests that are available for detecting the presence of cancer.
  
  I like the prevention techniques described in the book, though I've already found and applied most of them. I'll try the ones that I've missed.
  
  I found the characterization of the ketogenic diet in this book lacking. My wife and I started a ketogenic lifestyle about a year ago because of the many health benefits it provides. This book makes it sound unappetizing, especially the turkey menu on page 255. For ketogenic diet information, check out books and/or Youtube videos by Dr. Eric Westman.
  
  I liked the "out on the skinny branches" section that describes a few alternative treatments, but that section is missing many other possible treatments that appear to be promising.
  
  My two biggest gripes about the book are the messed up references with many missing and a few just wrong, as well as the lack of an index.
  
  Finally, I totally agree with the author that much more truly scientific research should be applied to alternatives to the current "standard of care". But as he noted, real tests are expensive and, for natural cures, would have no financial payback.

  I like this book because I appreciate the fact that this book offers recent (as of 2015) information backed by published clinical research and it is written by someone that has lived through it. I feel that most MD's are not taking the time to explain options to patients and this book fills that gap. Most people find that nutrition is skipped entirely during the quick Doctor's visit, that has been my observation. Steve really helps you to understand how important nutrition is and how you (and your prostate) can benefit from improving what you take into your body.
• While written specifically about prostate cancer, Steve's book is packed with information that can help anyone on a quest for a healthier life. As with any self published book, it could benefit from some strategic editing and general formatting improvements to make for easier reading, but in general its wealth of information makes up for stylistic quirks.
• It is an excellent source for information relating to Prostate Cancer. I read this for free on my and liked it so much I bought it for my home library. It is a valuable reference for anyone who wants to avoid the "let's remove your Prostrate right now scam" that appears to be commonplace today. I highly recommend reading this book BEFORE you even think of a biopsy. Written with clarity and wit, this book might just save you some major pain and suffering.
