"A ton of fun from cover to cover. Greg Pak really understands and loves these classic Carpenter characters, and the "buddy cop" dynamic he creates between Burton and Plissken is perfect. Snakes's alternative America is brilliantly utilized by Pak and beautifully realized by illustrator Daniel Bayliss & colorist Triona Tree Farrell."

Big Trouble in Little China/Escape From New York Greg Pak John Carpenter Daniel Bayliss 9781684150083 Books Reviews
- This series has an amusing premise -- that Jack Burton of Big Trouble in Little China and Snake Plissken of Escape from New York are manifestations of the same character in different universes, and that they are brought into the same world via magic. The early issues in which the characters figure out each others' strengths and develop a fighting technique around them, are amusing. The later volumes fall comparatively flat. The art is extremely inconsistent. Some images are good, others are incoherent and faces seem distorted. The story is driven by magic and magical artifacts, and the overall feel is more Big Trouble in Little China than Escape from New York.

- So much fun! I actually made noise with my mouth, laughing out loud, several times! If you love these movies, you’ll love this comic. Fantastic art work.
- A couple years back Boom studios got the rights to some films and big trouble in little China was on that list. Since then they have done ongoing series, two novels, this cross over and currently a mini series that is a parody of marvels old man Logan. But to briefly talk about this story, Wang from escape from New York universe tries to sommon snake plissken to help him on a mission but insteads gets jack burton. The story is a lot of fun and it reads like a Saturday morning cartoon but is done much better than all predecessors. If your looking for a serious or epic take than your not going find it here or any of them of for that matter. Most of these are all wasted unnecessary sequels, but if your looking to read one then go with this. The art is great as well, the highlight is all the variant covers at the end.
